What to Expect

Learn more

It's important that you feel comfortable with your decision to start therapy. It's normal to feel nervous about getting started or unsure of what to look for in a provider. Take your time to familiarize yourself with my site as the therapeutic relationship is integral to the work will do together. I hope the information on the               page will help you determine if I'm a good fit for you.

Initial Phone Call

I provide a complimentary 15-minute phone call before our first appointment. This allows an opportunity to address any questions you may still have and lets us get to know each other a bit before scheduling. Once you decide to schedule an appointment, you will receive a welcome packet of forms via a secure portal to complete before our first appointment together. This will allow us to maximize our time together during our first session.

Initial Consult

This first appointment is a comprehensive assessment of current functioning, past psychological and medical history, family background, and individual strengths. Although more structured, this appointment is also an opportunity to start to build the therapeutic relationship and to collaborate on clarifying goals for treatment. If we decide to work together, we can schedule future appointments at this time.

Committing to Therapy

Therapy sessions last approximately 50-minutes in length and clients typically meet on a weekly basis. The length of treatment may vary based on individual needs and this can be discussed in an ongoing way. Please bring whatever concerns/needs you have to session and we can structure our sessions accordingly. I also invite ongoing feedback you have so that we can make our time together what you need it to be.

If this is an emergency please call 911 or contact Colorado Crisis Line at 1 (844) 493 - TALK.
